savant

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. It's been a pretty long time... I had so many things to do, I just kind of -accidentally-purposely-felt like ignoring this mini self diary.

Having to stress yourself out is NOT a good idea. Having 1249127694619 things like take photography courses, entering 2 contests of which I've given up in one due to lack of time, technical support and skills, polishing drawing skills, maintaining good grades, to do at the same time is not so good either. I've been acting cracked for the past few days... people were kind enough to point that out.

Having said, there are soccer tryouts which I do want to attend, if not for the fact that they clash with the lessons and my physical state has dropped to like a 500 kg mass of human. For the tryouts, we had to run 4 laps ( roughly 400 m each, or so I'm told), in 8 minutes, sprint and do other running activities besides the actual game tryout. After 2 days of such * cough*abuse*cough*, my legs now feel like I'm an octogenarian, A.K.A , old hag with reumatism. REAlly wondering if I should go on for the other tryouts.... Other considerations include severe lack of skill. HELLO, I WANT ROCK CLIMBING/KAYAKING!!!!!!!

Another more pressing matter is the alarming drop of my grades. Though I'm sure 3% overall drop in avg doesn't worry you guys too much ( no thanks to that physics test, which made me drop from 96% to 88% >=[ ), the aim of getting 90% avg seems so elusive. Math isn't exactly going peachy either, due to the eternal evil influence of FUNCTIONS. That ******* subject. In this situation, the Singapore kiasuness inadvertantly comes out. Of course, the possible medal/certificate that comes with min 90% avg doesn't go with it, don't you think? =D

Soccer is likely to interfere with all of this..... but I'm wondering if I should still go for it...... It's likely though, that my choice will stray to the books. Blame Singapore's ingrained obsessiveness with academcis. =(

Recent event: Pearson idol. Honsetly, being a judge is hard. I support Simon , because he clearly doesn't care much about public opinion. Some, no, MOST of the contestants waver between average and and not so average. If I were the judge, I would tell them that the only job their likely to get in singing is at the deaf insitution. People, if you can't reach high notes, don't. Others will sue you for ear surgery costs.
Upon reflecting, it simply cemented my beliefs of audience rigged talent shows.
